Santa In September is Coming!
Thursday, 1 September 2005
Wow!!!
Mood:  happy
Oh my Gosh!!! Santa In September is just three weeks away!!!
Just this past week I have picked up a GORGEOUS gift basket from Moochie & Co. at the Tuttle Mall! I want to take this chance to say if you haven't yet, GO VISIT THEM!!! They have been wonderful! Also, we have received great response from many vendors and rescues who are planning on attending! We have been promise some of those great Poochos and Snuggle Beds we all love!! I got to meet Debbie Boggs of Diverted to Dogs at the Westerville Dog Days she was packing up, but the items she had left out were fantastic! ZsaZsa is definately getting a rhinestone dog tag! Also Pet Butler has promised some nices gifts as well! I know I haven't mention many others that are making a contribution to us, but I am updating the sponsor page of this site as we receive comfirmation of attendance or a raffle gift! A big thanks to everyone of you!

One thing we are in need of is VOLUNTEERS! To help this event run as smoothly as possible with the number of people we are expecting, we would love to have the commitment of as many volunteers as possible. The shifts are short and fun to do! You will not miss out on the fun, we promise!!! One great idea we have come up with is inviting your teens to come help! If you know of any teen in need of community service hours as a requirement for school or clubs, let us know and we will be happy to supply them with a job and a letter of Community Service Performance! What a fun way to earn those hours for college applications or National Honor Society!

There are a few more items we are in need of, so if you feel like bringing something to help us out, just check the Donations page and email us with what you may like to bring!

Well, that is the update for now!

It is beginning to come together!!!!
Whooohooo!

We are starting to hear RSVP's from many wonderful vendors and rescues! Those who have been unable to attend have been gracious enough to send donations to the raffle, so there ought to be some wonderful prizes! We are still in need of several more prizes though, so everyone has a chance to win something!

So far we are being graced with the presence of Cat Welfare Association, TLC Rescue (specializing in American Eskimo), and Lucky Chin Rescue. I am sure there are more, but we don't have an RSVP date until Sept. 10th so we will update as we go.

As for vendors, we are pleased to have our wonderful SL Embroidery again this year! Also, we have had RSVP's from Pugs In Leather, Shure Pets, Pet Pantry, Canine Companion Club, Bark til Dark, Petsmart, and we will have a host table selling items that ALL proceeds will go to OPR! The host table will also be passing out information about those businesses that would really like to have attended but were unable to. Also, we will have Kim and Brett with a friendly dog Nail Trim booth, also all proceeds going to OPR! We are in talks with several other vendors in the area as well, so bring those $$$ and pick up some great items and support an awesome cause!

Concession will have many great treats and will be open for Donuts and coffee in the morning, and at lunch we will be featuring HOT OFF THE GRILL HOT DOGS!! We will also have chips, sodas, fresh baked goods, and popcorn.

Games for this year are going to be a blast! Some of them include: The PugTona, Doggy500, Pug Tricks, Pet Tricks, PUGstacle course, and the Pet Agility Course.

Throughout the day, we will be having mini raffles, and then at 4:00 will will be having the GRAND RAFFLE!!! Remember, you must be present to win the raffles, so get those tickets early and get many! You never know what items will be in the mini raffles! There are going to be some great items! As of right now, I know of books, carriers, gift certificates, mugs, treats, gift baskets from some great pet boutiques, and whole bunch more! I know that Petsmart has promised great items to come too!

Well, that is some of the information about how Santa In September is coming together. Please remember we are still in need of raffle items, supplies, and volunteers! Email us at OPRKyCj@aol.com to let us know if you can help in any way!
